World War 2 Games - A Tribute to a Time in History

One of the most important events in our history was World War 2. Between 1939 and 1945 Millions of people from all around the world decided the fate of the political world as we know it. The allied forces stood up for what is right and just in this world. The defended freedom. Now as the last surviving military members of this era slowly fade away. We are left with an emptiness of information and experiences from that era.

The one way the current generation has kept up with the historical experiences is through World War 2 Games. These games come in a number of different variants. From Board Games like risk and axis and allies to strategy games like panzer commander. There are console video games like call of duty and others. But some of the most impressive are the PC Computer Games.

From Flight Simulations to First Person Shooters. they take us back to a time that we can never really experience. The let us drive a tiger tank, fly the spitfire, Bomb with a flying fortress and even para-drop over Normandy. I feel that these games are more that just that. They are a tribute to what the real men and women did to ensure our freedoms.

The new environment for World War 2 Gamesis the MMOG (Massively Multi-payer On-line Games) this environment bring thousands of people together to relive battles and scenarios of world war two. One of these games even allows multi player unit control. Imagine having the ability to fly a Stuka Dive bomber and have someone else in the game tail gun for you.

Please have fun with these games but always remember the history that they stand for.
